Thinking of Buying? Why Airdrie?
Airdrie is selling a lot of homes, doing better than places like Cochrane and Okotoks, according to the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB). Airdrie saw a big increase of over 40 percent in sales. More homes are being listed in Airdrie, keeping the sales-to-listings ratio high and reducing the number of unsold homes compared to last year.
Airdrie has been struggling with not having enough homes for sale, which has made prices go up. Lately, the typical home price went up to $529,700, which is 10% more than during the previous period last year. This fact attracts investors as well.
Airdrie is a nice place to live, especially for families, as it's quieter than Calgary. Even though homes in Airdrie cost over $500,000, they are still seen as affordable compared to cities like Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary. This situation is expected to continue for a while.
By reducing interest rates for a long time, the Bank of Canada aims to help the economy recover, making borrowing money easier and encouraging more people to buy homes.
It’s time to explore the opportunity offered by Airdrie while it lasts!
